Any parent who watches this vid will recognize a setup. The kid has pushed and pushed and the mom has had it. The kid knows things are being recorded so of course he's going to keep his cool and come off sounding like a rational, compliant, cool-headed person. As a parent myself, I resent this child making and releasing this recording. It is totally disrespectful and is not an "adult" way to handle conflict. As a student of abusive relationships, I resent the manipulations of the child and recognize the despair of the parent. Both sides need a great deal of counsel and support to become emotionally healthy people.

I had a friend whos mother was like that and he never did anything to push her buttons I wouldn't give a shit if he did she should NEVER talk to her son like that no matter what he said or did! I wouldn't give her shit either! As far as I rememeber its a mothers job to care for her children until they are 18!!!

I couldnt believe the mentality of this woman!! and i really felt for her son - why put up with all this shit? Its plain to see that his mother needs psychiatric treatment, it brought tears to my eyes to the fact that he gave her the $50 after so much grief - she is mentally unstable and not fit to be a mother!

i believe the son should not have exploited her and himself like this...towards the middle, he does act in a cocky, rude manner (he mumbles, somewhat, from another room while she is still screaming)...but she is stupid for yelling that whole time...i'm not married or have children, but i beleive in the idea "spare the rod spoil the child"...whenever i say something stupid now, my mom slaps me across the face...i respect her...but this shoud be taken off...o...and they both need LOTS of therapy...maybe a couple straight jackets...one for each...

I had a friend that had a mom like that. She was a controlling manipulative bitch. He moved out when he was 19, and she begged him back to help with bills, so he wouldn't overextend himself just giving her money. He payed her rent every week when he go paid to live there, and she told him, "Your under my house, you follow my rules" and "I pay the bills here". Stuff like that. He was grounded over his 21st birthday, which is Jan 21, because he was at a New Years party with his friends. I'm happy to say he moved out and got married and she is a lot better now. Even pleasant to be around. I think she realized he wasn't a kid anymore.

Kids a loser for putting up with that he's 16 as the saying goes and if it's such a big problem and has been going on for the 16 years why doesn't he talk to his friends parents make a deal to pay for rent and follow their reasonable rules or go live with his dad. Everyone is complaining that you don't treat your kid like that well some people do Loser's either take it like him stay there for the abuse till they get laid or get out and become a bum on the street. I don't care if the kid made any set up or not. you can't tell anyone that they're a loser and a deadbeat and all that while you're asking to borrow money. obviously the kid has a job and is the only one in the house with money. The mom knew the car needed gas, it's not like that was a surprise or anything, so she should know enough by now to provide for herself. If it were me, she wouldn't have gotten a dime with a mouth like that. I would have told her to go to work and ask her boss for $50 in the same tone she just asked me and see if she still has a job at mcdonalds or wherever she works. It's not your fault she got pregnant 17 years ago dude.

Im a kid and if ur parents are suffering even if you are younger or older, which is just a state of mind, then help them out man, just give her some money, she is needy, she cared for and nurtured you, and all parents get as angry as hell at there kids, some more than others. don't act snobby and don't try to act like your all calm and crap. A crazy syco bitch wouldn't ask for money, she would just let you rot like the tiny snob you are.
